Outhold
Outhold

A compact tower defense game where each run feeds your next upgrade path.

Here's a quick look at the game:

What is Outhold?

Outhold is a minimalist tower defense game with incremental progression. You defend your Holdout against constant enemy waves, place towers, and build a setup that can survive longer each run.

The pressure comes from scaling enemy waves and limited early power. The hook is the long upgrade tree behind every attempt. You collect resources, unlock stronger options, reshape your build, and come back with a better plan.

How to Play Outhold

Start a run by placing defenses and protecting the center from incoming enemies. As waves push harder, you need to improve your damage, coverage, and economy so your setup does not fall behind.

Each run is part survival test, part resource run. Push as far as you can, take what you earned, then spend it on permanent upgrades before the next attempt. New upgrades open stronger tower paths, better synergies, and more efficient builds.

A big part of playing well is deciding where your money should go. You can lean into one tower, mix towers for support and damage, or build around resource gain first and scale later. As your tree expands, you get more room to experiment and optimize.

Tips of Outhold

  • Do not spread upgrades too thin early. Build one strong lane or tower core first.
  • Watch your economy. A weaker start can pay off if it gives you better scaling later.
  • Use the upgrade tree to commit to a build, not just random power boosts.
  • Refund and rebuild when a path stops working. Testing new synergies is part of progression.
